Glow Bridal Prep Guide

Your wedding day is a reflection of how you feel. To make sure your glam team can give you the most beautiful, lasting results, please follow these guidelines for both hair and makeup preparation.

For the Bride & Bridal Party

HAIR PREPARATION

Please know:
Every style requires different prep. The right foundation makes all the difference in how your hair holds, shines, and photographs.

If you’re receiving an updo or a down style (curled/waved):

  • Arrive with clean, dry hair. Please wash 1-2 nights before with no heavy oils or conditioners (especially at the root).

  • Blow-dry your hair smooth using a brush for best results (no top knots or braids before the appointment).

  • Do not flat iron your hair; this can remove the natural texture needed for volume and hold.

  • Avoid using any styling products post blow-dry, your stylist will apply what’s needed.

If you’re receiving a blowout or smooth style:

  • Arrive with damp, towel-dried hair- not soaking wet.

  • Avoid using products- the stylist will bring and apply what is needed

  • Let your stylist know in advance if you’re requesting a blowout so they can prepare the right products and tools.

General Hair Notes:

  • Please arrive with completely dry hair unless a blowout was discussed. Wet hair delays the schedule.

  • If anyone arrives with wet or dirty hair and did not request a blowout, an additional prep fee may apply.

  • Bring inspiration photos that align with your natural hair length, color, and texture.

MAKEUP PREPARATION

To ensure your makeup applies flawlessly and lasts all day:

The Night Before:

  • Exfoliate gently and apply your regular moisturizer.

  • Avoid trying new skincare or treatments within 7 days of your event.

  • Hydrate well — inside and out.

The Morning Of:

  • Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face (no SPF, no moisturizer unless directed by your artist).

  • Lightly cleanse and pat dry before your appointment.

  • Brush your teeth before makeup starts.

  • Avoid touching your face after your skincare routine.

  • Bring your lip color for touch-ups if you have a specific shade you love.

TIMING & ENVIRONMENT

  • Please have a designated space with natural light and a table with outlets ready for the artists.

  • Everyone receiving services should be on time and ready to start (hair clean/dry or damp as discussed, face clean).

  • Wear a button-down or robe so you don’t disturb your hair/makeup when changing.

  • Please have a chair with a low back or low stool for the hairstylists

  • It can be helpful to bring a full length mirror to put in front of the styling chair to mock a salon set up
